This is why color deserves a separate conversation in this work. Test patches get applied across the actual wall. Each is checked at morning, afternoon, and night. A color chosen beneath a single light is a choice somebody may resent across ten years.
The painting half rests on preparation. This climate is punishing on paint. Stucco develops hairline splits. Trim checks and cracks. Sealant fails off edges. Painting onto any of that gets eighteen months before the finish fails again. Cracks are filled. Failed sealant is cut off. Everything is washed and primed anywhere raw.
